AERIAL CULL GOES TO PLAN

ANIMAL PEST MANAGEMENT SERVICES (APMS) recently conducted a helicopter-based cull of large feral herbivores in the pastoral areas of WA.

In 45 hours helicopter time, we conducted a cull which achieved –

1184 LFH shot plus 1 wild dog

Average was 1 animal shot every 2.27 minutes

An average of 2.26 rounds were used per animal (including the policy of  “double-tap”, i.e. 2 rounds into every animal as well as fly-backs)

The cull was highly successful over an area of over 4.4 million acres.

Thanks goes to Dan from Frontier Helicopters who did a great job flying.
